How do PRP injections work?

PRP therapy uses injections of concentrated platelets of the patient’s own blood to naturally enhance the healing process of the damaged cells. The blood’s platelets contain proteins and other growth factors needed to accelerate the cell’s healing process.

A trained medical professional will draw the patients blood using a specific PRP kit with Biotine and spinning in a centrifuge separating red blood cells from the platelet rich plasma. The PRP is extracted from the red blood and injected into the treatment area. Depending on the treatment area, the entire process can take between 30-60 minutes.
